The Power of the P.U.S.S.Y Indeed.

Over this past week, several members of the Secret Service were involved in a scandal involving prostitutes in Columbia, South America. Its amazing to me that men who are so close to the President of the United States and aware of the potential fallout their behavior could cause would still engage in this behavior. I mean they had to stop and think about getting caught right.....wrong!!!. Men don't think about getting caught when good ole vagina is in front of us; its all about the mission at hand. What's even crazier is that according to reports, the situation got sticky when one Secret Service member decided that he didn't have to pay one of the prostitutes. You can't get a haircut and not pay your barber, next time he might push your hairline back a few years. You can't receive counseling from a psychologist and not make that co payment, next time they won't let you in their office. You can't buy weed and not pay your drug dealer, next time they might, w…

Lost and Found Myself

Why do we realize the importance of something when its taken away from us? In prison a person begins to realize the real meaning of freedom, and how important the little things in life are. A person who gets fired after months or years of openly despising their job soon realizes that the job wasn't bad at all. Conversely, someone who has regained employment after months of free time realizes that their time should have been appreciated because now its back to a 9-5 grind. And finally in love when that person finally walks out after taking so much shit, its then when reality sets in and it hurts. At times in our life we are blind to the blessings that are in front of us only regaining our sight when those blessings are taken away. But maybe this is how life works, change forces us to grow and push personal limits. Its the pain of loss that fuels the fire in us to better ourselves and never feel that way again. Sure in the moment of loss we feel our world crashing down and nothing e…

Check Your Heart @ the Door

I've been told by females that they have secrets that they would take to the grave. That telling their boyfriend or significant other of their affairs would do more harm than good. When engaging in an affair with a female, one has to understand that feelings can only take you so far and to be cautious not to become attached and think that there is potential for a fairytale ending. The ending is more like a Shakespeare play. Females are still a mystery to me. They are very sensitive and emotional, yet they have a side to them that is vindictive and sometimes down right evil (cutting of dicks is not cool). Even with this said, I don't subscribe to the belief that females are hoes, sluts or whores. I just attribute certain behaviors to the fact that some females just want to have fun or get someone back. I've been on the receiving end of the wrath of an angry female and the feeling does not make me want to do back flips when I think about it.Getting told by another dude that h…

Niggas Who Ain't in Paris

In New York City plenty of Black and Latino young men are aware that life is not all cheer like a 30 Rock episode or a Frank Sinatra song. To these young men “the city that never sleeps” is comparable to the classic HBO series The Wire. NYC urban communities are a meeting point for drugs, violence, poverty and law enforcement. Police officers are a unique piece to urban neighborhoods of NYC. The men and woman, who risk their lives everyday, provide a needed presence to deal with the high crime in urban areas.Conversely, these sworn upholders of the law are seen as enemies by those who are not harden criminals or even have a record at all.
NewYorkers are aware that stop and frisk is a controversial policy utilized by the NYPD as a way to address gun violence. While good in moral principle, stop and frisk policies have had an adverse affect on law abiding young men who are vulnerable to harassment from the “boys in blue”. Imagine walking home from along day of work and school, when a ve…
